Water Filters, Elements, Brackets, Wrenches & Parts

When you install a new pressure tank or pump system, it's always a good idea to install a whole house water filter in the job so that the fine particulates and sand that flow with the water from the aquifer can't make it into your home. These particles can cause your washing machine mixing valve to stick and since it won't shut off when the washing machine tells it to, you'll have a flooded washroom. Sand is also going to cause some problems to your faucets and toilets. At any rate, you'll want to install your filter in a place there in the pressure tank area where it can be firmly mounted to the wall high enough that you can change elements without having to get down on your hands and knees. It needs to be in a place where it won't freeze and bust. You can install it with a by-pass so that if it ever does give trouble, you can by pass water flow till the part needed to fix it can be purchased. Also, sometimes you may want to run a bunch of water to a need (like the garden) where you don't need to filter the water. We stock the American Plumber / Pentair Water filter line, as well as a Canadian product called Boshart
